Working At Height - Awareness



Eligibility

Apply to all Management staff and operators who are involved in the planning and/or in the conduct of work at height activities.

Course Content

Problems associated with safe working at height, Hazards at Height, relevant Safety Legislations, Fall Prevention and Climbing Techniques, Use of Portable Ladder and Mobile Platforms, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control (HIRARC), use of work at Height Personal Protective Equipments (PPE), Anchorage Identification and its selection, Tie Off procedures and Aerial Rescue, Group Assignment on Working at Height Site Survey, Demonstration on use of ladder, PPE and Fall Effect, Rescue and Hosting, Vertical Lifeline and Retractor System and Horizontal Life Line, Equipment Inspection and Maintenance.

Course Methodology & Assessment

Lectures, presentation, discussion and practical demonstrations. The theory will be held in the classroom with mock-up for demonstration and a practical session, will be held at an identified site within the factory. A written test will be administered to confirm participant’s understanding of the subject.
